Actor Zeenat Aman, who recently made her Instagram debut, has been feeling nostalgic lately. The veteran actor often takes a trip down the memory lane and recalls anecdotes about her personal and professional life when she was younger. In her latest post, Zeenat shared a glamorous photo of herself from the 1970s and also narrated an amusing incident. Zeenat wrote, “The year was 1977, and the cast and crew of Krishna Shah’s Shalimar had gathered at the Turf Club in Mumbai for the film’s ‘mahurat’. It was a packed, high profile event and everyone was dressed to the nines.” A post shared by Zeenat Aman (@thezeenataman)The actor said that the silver gown, which she was donning in the photograph, was created by costume designer Mani Rabadi based on a design of her own making. Zeenat also revealed that Mani sewed her into the gown to give it that exquisite fit. “Its plunging neckline and sleek silhouette certainly turned some heads,” she added. Zeenat continued, “We had several international actors in attendance that day, including Gina Lollobrigida. She later backed out of the production, amongst swirling rumours that we had locked horns. British actor Rex Harrison wasn’t at the event, but he was in the film. One day on set, he told me – “A beautiful girl like you should get married immediately”. I had a good laugh over that. And for the record, I think that’s a terrible reason to get married.”Zeenat Aman had made her debut in the movies in 1970, with the film The Evil Within. She is known for appearances in movies such as Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Yaadon ki Baraat, Don and Qurbani among others. She was last seen in the 2019 Ashutosh Gowariker movie Panipat.
