A hilarious video that uses puns on basic kitchen ingredients in a slightly unhinged style is going viral. The video, shot by a group of youngsters, does wordplay on things like roti, sev, jeera (cumin), and more. The deadpan delivery of the jokes only adds to the humor quotient of the video. Interestingly, the random wordplay of these jokes makes it difficult to translate them accurately. This video was posted online by an Instagram account and it has so far gathered over 11 lakh likes. In the comments, many people added similar puns related to food items. An Instagram user wrote, “Mai kyun dhundu mai to khoya hun”. Another person wrote, “Mai kyu na shor machau. Mai toh BAJRA 🌾 hun”. An Instagram user jokingly wrote, “Mai kyu brightness kam kru, mai toh mummy hu !!”, while another person added, “Main kyo phone ka volume kam kru , main to papa hu 👴”.It is hard to trace where the meme format for “mai kyu” or “mujhe kya” jokes originated. The meme’s nonsensical wordplay alludes to the nonchalant attitude that is distinctive of niche internet humor. Brands too have used this template in their promotions. Other brands like food delivery service Hizmed India and electronics brand Croma also used the “mujhe kya” template in their social media campaigns.Mujhe kya mein toh chill hun 🍻— Ravi Shastri (@RaviShastriOfc) May 20, 2022
