Mehsana Reports ₹3,395 Crore Spice Exports in FY25, Cumin and Isabgol Dominant
Mehsana, Gujarat, exported spice seeds worth ₹3,395 crore in FY 2024-25, led by cumin, isabgol, and fennel seeds. Major export markets included China (25%), Bangladesh (16%), and the UAE (10%). While exports saw significant growth in prior years, they declined by three percent in FY25, primarily due to adverse weather impacting cumin production. Despite this, the Unjha APMC recorded a 17.5% increase in cumin arrivals during February-April 2025.
