Extinguishing a candle in a few seconds sounds like no big deal but Wang Chuanfei from China has given this simple act an interesting take that is worthy of a Guinness World Record.Earlier this week, Chuanfei extinguished 42 candles with a single crack of a whip. With this he earned the Guinness World Record for ‘Most candles extinguished by a single whip crack’.On Friday, Guinness World Records shared a slow-motion video of this record attempt that shows rows of burning candles getting extinguished in one flick of the whip. Last November, martial artist Anthony Kelly from New South Wales in Australia extinguished 37 candles with a single strike of the hand. He attempted the record on November 10 which was also Guinness World Records Day (GWR Day).Before that, on October 27, 2021, Yue Haichuan from Shandong in China extinguished 82 candles in a minute using a nunchaku. India also holds a similar world record. On February 11, 2011, Anuradha I Mandal used her pigtail to extinguish 26 candles in a minute.
